The heat pipe has the advantages of simple structure, light weight and small footprint, which can meet the needs of heat transfer in various narrow Spaces and special environments. Moreover, the heat pipe has high reliability, because the working medium fluid sealing, eliminates the leakage problem and ensures a longer operating life. In addition, the heat pipe also has the advantages of good corrosion resistance, no noise and adjustable.
● How do Heat Pipes Work?
The heat pipe is a closed evaporator-condenser system consisting of a sealed hollow tube with its inner walls lined with capillary structures or wick.
At the desired working temperature, the thermodynamic working fluid with a large amount of vapor pressure puts the pores of the wick in an equilibrium state of liquid and steam.
When the heat tube is heated, the liquid in the wick is heated and evaporated. When the evaporating fluid fills the hollow center of the heat tube, it spreads throughout the heat tube.
Where the temperature is slightly below the temperature of the evaporation zone, steam condensation occurs. When the steam condenses, it releases the heat gained during the evaporation process.
